Fall of 2016 , Mr. Hall became President and Chief Executive Officer at Aqua Terra Water Management, L.P.
Retained by Trinity after the Sale as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Trinity Environmental SWD, LLC from June 2013 to June 2014.
He was Founder of CJ Energy, LLC and served as its Chief Executive Officer/Managing Member since inception in 2004 until the sale to Trinity June 2013. He developed and managed significant volumes of produced and flowback water flowing through 15 strategically located build-to-suit wells in the Permian Basin working with many different E&P Companies (50%+/- of volumes were through pipelines).
Mr. Hall started focusing on pipeline infrastructures in 2009 to help reduce the operators cost building and operating internal pipeline facilities for Concho, Devon, Apache and SM Energy along with adding water management pipelines to all of his other existing facilities.
He focused not only on operations but the safety and environmental aspect of the disposal business being one of the first operators to use extensive automation and lined containment facilities throughout the Permian Basin.
He also acquired and managed a fleet of 85 trucks including high pressure pump trucks and hot oilers.
From 2001 to 2005, he was a Co-founder and Partner of AmericaWest Energy Group, LLC.
Cory began his career in the Permian Basin in September 1999 working for Packard Energy Group as an acquisition manager.
Mr. Hall served as a Director of CJ Energy, LLC since 2005. He also served as a Director of CJES (CJ Energy Services).
Mark Gandy, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Gandy joined Aqua Terra in February 2018 as Chief Financial Officer.
He has eight years prior CFO experience with STRIKE, LLC (a One Equity Partners portfolio company), Energy Services Holdings, LLC (a Cadent Energy Partners portfolio company) and Sunland Construction, Inc.
Before becoming a CFO, Mr. Gandy was an investment banker for Simmons & Company International.
Mark has extensive energy experience beginning his career in various positions of increasing responsibility in mergers, acquisitions and principal investing for Koch Industries, Entergy and Enron.
Mr. Gandy received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Trinity University and his MBA from The University of Texas McCombs School of Business at Austin.
Chad Williams, Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Williams, based out of Houston, manages Operations & Development for Aqua Terra’s US & Canadian operations.
He was recently served as Director of Development for Republic Services’ Energy & Industrial Divisions, responsible for all acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships in all US E&P plays, including the development of all Republic assets in the Permian Basin.
Prior to facilitating the sale of Tervita’s US assets to Republic, he served in multiple roles in US Operations, including managing Operations, Sales, and Development for Tervita’s Southern US Operations.
Before Tervita, Chad was responsible for running Southwest Disposal Service, which was successfully sold. All told, he has over 12 years experience in management within the oilfield waster services’ business.
Ashley Niblett, Vice President of U.S. Operations
Mr. Niblett, based out of the Midland, Texas office, serves as the Executive Vice President of US Operations for Aqua Terra.
He brings over 30 years experience to the company including working in his family’s trucking business in West Texas, owning and managing transport trucks, frac tanks, vacuum trucks, brine and fresh water stations and operating numerous SWD’s.
He previously served as Operations Manager for Wilson Systems and Operations Superintendent for Trinity Environmental (both salt water disposal companies) where he managed over 200,000 Bbls of water/day.
Most recently Ashley was VP of Construction and Operations at Fulcrum Specialty Services building infield SWD’s for Matador handling over 30,000 bbls a day all through pipelines.
In the course of operating SWD’s through the years, Mr. Niblett has developed a system that does an exceptional job of cleaning the incoming disposal water of solids. This design also allows for maintenance on all parts of the system without having to be shut down.
The most recent systems Ashley designed have operated at 99.6% operational uptime while injecting over 30,000 bbls per day with no spills the last 12 months.
Tom Johnston, President of Canada
Tom Johnston has 30 years of executive level management, and has participated in mergers and acquisitions in the oil and gas industry.
Tom is part of Aqua Terra Water Managements executive team. Based in Canada, Tom serves as the President of the Canadian subsidiary.
Tom’s extensive experience includes engineering and leadership roles in energy companies such as Encana (NYSE: ECA), Apache (NYSE: APA), Husky Energy (TSE: HSE), Smoky River Coal, and Newalta (TSE: NAL) in areas of strategic planning, operations, general management and business development.
Rich Fontenot, VP of Business Development
Mr. Fontenot, based out of Midland, manages Sales & Business Development for Aqua Terra’s US & Canadian operations.
He recently served as VP of Business of Business Development for Dixie Electric overseeing sales and business development for their 26 branches across the United States.
Prior to Dixie Electric, Mr. Fontenot served as Sales Manager at Nabors Completion & Production Services. His involvement with completions, production, and facility groups makes him a valuable asset with a broad range of contacts and strong relationships.
